2024 Alberta Book Publishing Awards Shortlist Announced

The Book Publishers Association of Alberta has announced the shortlist for the 2024 Alberta Book Publishing Awards! These annual awards recognize excellence in Alberta publishing.

The following shortlist represents the finest of Alberta book publishing as determined by leading professionals in the book industry from across Canada and showcases the wide range of books published each year in Alberta. This year, jurors evaluated 107 submissions from Alberta publishers across 15 different categories. The BPAA will also be awarding the Special Achievement in Publishing Award, honouring an individual who best exemplifies the spirit of the Alberta book publishing community.

The winners of the 2024 Alberta Book Publishing Awards will be announced at a gala reception at the Varscona Theatre in Edmonton on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. The gala is open to the public, and more information on how to purchase tickets will be shared on the BPAA website in mid-July. Leading up to the gala, the featured categories and shortlisted titles will be highlighted on Facebook and Twitter.
