Yellowhead Regional Library System

Yellowhead Regional Library (YRL) is a partnership between northwest-central Alberta libraries and has its headquarters in Spruce Grove. They work under the mission, “YRL provides materials and services to public and school libraries, and other organizations, to assist them in meeting the informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of their communities”.

Yellowhead Regional Library is a cooperative library system founded in 1971 to provide quality library service to both urban and rural residents through the sharing of material, resources and expertise. It provides services to almost 300,000 Albertans in fifty-four municipalities and nearly 11,000 FTE students in three school divisions.

This system is part of TRAC (The Regional Automation Consortium), which is a partnership of Marigold Library System, Northern Lights Library System, Peace Library System, Yellowhead Regional Library, and their member libraries. Using TRACpac, library members can search a combined catalogue of over 170 libraries with holdings of nearly three million books, DVDs and other material.
