Alberta Reads Book Club Shortlist for July/August

The Alberta Reads Provincial Book Club just announced the shortlist for their next book club pick!

The Alberta Reads Book Club is an online, province-wide book club run by the Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA) that profiles the rich culture of books that are published right here in Alberta. Their next book club will run from July to August 2021, and feature a fiction book published in Alberta. We can’t wait to see which of the outstanding fiction titles on their shortlist is chosen for the club. The winner will be announced on July 16, 2021.

To participate in the book club, follow the BPAA on Facebook and Twitter as they post discussion questions each week, and join the ongoing discussion by following #ABReads and #ABBooks.

In the meantime, check out the shortlist below. Click the “shop local” button under each book to purchase it from your local bookstore; click on the name of the publisher for more information about their book; or, Alberta public library patrons can borrow most book club titles as eBooks for free using ReadAlbertaeBooks.ca.
