The 2020 Alberta Publishing Awards
Each year, the Alberta Book Publishing Awards celebrate the best books, designs, presses, and more in Alberta publishing. Publishers submit their books and best cover designs and the winners are selected through a peer jury process in up to fourteen award categories. The winners represent the height of the Alberta book publishing industry as adjudicated by experts and publishing professionals from across Canada. The awards are announced and celebrated in September in either Edmonton or Calgary but this past year required some creative thinking as the COVID-19 pandemic made it unsafe to gather.
The Book Publishers Association of Alberta pulled together an incredible virtual gala that was live streamed on YouTube. Check out the winners below!
